Thanks to Jodie for her honesty and to you for making this film available. I REALLY needed to hear this message tonight.
I especially appreciated hearing her say "Don't judge me...have compassion."
Isn't it amazing the variety of ways we find to take care of ourselves?
I understand.

The honesty and truefulness in explaining her feelings-how it felt and what she needed from them. Also her needs which never seemed to be asked, "What is going on in your world" without horror of what is this doing to my carrier? Why can't people get off of their exteriorness and too busyness to hear the heart screaming loudly "help me I just need to be heard". I hate having to do something to get their attention. Just once I wish they cared enough just to sit with me and not try to heal me, but just LISTEN. Outside in the world there can be too much busyness why does it have to be inside where we need everything to slow down and care.

I would love to have a whole series of videos about all the ways we find to take care of ourselves. I think it would be eye opening to those who are trying to "help" us. It means talking the taboo, though, and not everyone is as courageous as Jodie is in this video. I admire her story and her sincerity in telling it.

i will have to watch this video but not now...the topic is too close to home for me. i am afraid of the emotions it may conjure.

I invited a few co-workers to watch this video with me this afternoon at work. They were stunned and impressed with Jodie's honesty and gained much insight to the importance of really listening to what people are saying - both with their words and their actions.
Thanks for posting this! Thanks, Jodie for your willingness to "speak out!"

I believe every word you say...I have been to hell and back. I have gone through what you have and I am growing stronger everyday. Thanks for being so brave to show this video and give others knowledge of things they don't understand if thy haven't experienced it.
